Winelands
There are a number of Wineland Routes situated just outside of Cape Town. Most of the many world-class wine estates in the region offer wine tasting and tours of their cellars and vineyards. Towns in the Cape Winelands include the leafy Stellenbosch, South Africa’s oldest town, which boasts one of the premier universities in the country. Similarly, scenic towns like Paarl and Somerset West offer visitors a more tranquil and peaceful appreciation of the Cape surrounds, while still being close to the city.
